With the user-friendly hand soldering devices FX-971 and FX-972 HAKKO is launching a new generation. The FX-971 single-port station (95W) and the FX-972 dual-port station (2 x 200W) both have a 40% shorter heat-up time and can be equipped with a wide range of active soldering tips. This makes both soldering systems suitable for a wide range of applications.
„The 4th generation of Hakko soldering systems is characterized by improved sensor sensitivity. In addition, the specific design allows an even and stable heat transfer from the heating element to the tip,“ emphasizes Kirstin Kullik, Managing Director of Technisches Büro Kullik GmbH. The compact soldering stations can be set intuitively using 4 buttons. The front of the station can be tilted, making it easier to set and display information. The large-format display shows information such as the set temperature, the sensor temperature of the tip and other preset parameters.
Connected to a PC, data on soldering tip temperature, temperature adjustment and corrections during soldering can be logged, thus saving process-relevant information for complete traceability. In addition, a built-in sensor detects as soon as a handpiece is used. If, on the other hand, a handpiece is unused in the holder, the stand-by or auto-sleep function is activated depending on the setting. As the station and soldering iron holder do not need to be connected to each other, they can also be freely positioned in the work area.
The patented HAKKO active soldering tips ensure a precise and stable temperature. The soldering tips from the T39, T50 and T53 series are particularly noteworthy here. These can be used with both regular and N2 soldering irons. It is not necessary to change the tip, only the nozzle for guiding the nitrogen to the tip is additionally required. The newly developed fine soldering tips T50 for the micro soldering iron FX-9703/FX-9704 have an output power of 70 W and are ready for use within 3 seconds. For work on high-mass components such as shielded housings, coils or multilayer assemblies, on the other hand, the high-performance soldering irons from the FX-9707 and high-performance N2 soldering irons from the FX-9708. With a heat output of 200W, cycle times can be reduced by a quarter compared to conventional modules. In addition, soldering tips with V-grooves ensure improved energy transfer for wired components and therefore an improved solder flow.
The FX9706 series of micro soldering tweezers with a heat output of 140 W are ideal for processing micro components such as 0402 chips. Here it is possible to adjust the tip alignment in height, width, angle of rotation and length. In contrast, the soldering tweezers from the FX-9705 on. They can be adjusted in height and length and are suitable for use with larger components. The new hand-held soldering devices therefore also outperform their predecessors, the FX-951 and FM 203, which have proven themselves in every conceivable application over the last two decades.
