HAKKO FX-972 - The new dimension in dual-port soldering stations

At this year's productronica, Hakko, the world's leading manufacturer of soldering and desoldering equipment, is proud to present the new dual-port manual soldering station HAKKO FX-972 before. This soldering station, a successor to the proven predecessor models FM-202 and FM-203, sets new standards in terms of performance and precision.

With 2 x 95 watts of power, the user-friendly FX-972 hand-held soldering device offers a 40 % shorter heat-up time compared to its predecessors. It can be equipped with a wide range of active soldering tips and soldering tools, making it ideal for a variety of applications.

„The latest generation of Hakko soldering systems is characterized by improved sensor sensitivity. The specific design enables uniform and stable heat transfer from the heating element to the tip,“ emphasizes Kirstin Kullik, Managing Director of Technisches Büro Kullik GmbH.

The compact soldering station has intuitive operation with four buttons. The front of the station can be tilted to make it easier to set and view relevant information on the large-format display. Data such as the set temperature, the sensor temperature of the tip and other preset parameters are displayed there. The FX-972 can be connected to a PC to log data on soldering tip temperature, temperature adjustment and soldering corrections, enabling complete traceability in real time. A built-in sensor detects when a handpiece is in use and activates the stand-by or auto-sleep function when it is unused in the tray to save energy. As the station and soldering iron holder do not need to be connected to each other, they can be freely positioned in the work area.

„The FX-972 is therefore ideal for all types of repair processes,“ adds Simon Spettmann, Product Manager at Technisches Büro Kullik GmbH. This is due to the extensive range of suitable soldering irons, including standard soldering irons, micro soldering irons, high-performance soldering irons and two different soldering tweezers, which meet the requirements of both large solder joints and those that require fast heat-up times.

This hand soldering station sets new standards and surpasses the proven predecessor models FM-202 and FM-203, which have proven themselves in every conceivable application over the last two decades. The TBK/HAKKO Europe team will be presenting the new station at productronica in Hall A4, Stand 228. Availability in the European market is planned for the first quarter of 2024.
