With the FX-888DX manual soldering station, Hakko presents an update of its successful FX-888D model. The new soldering station is easy and intuitive to use and allows the required temperature to be set effortlessly by turning and pressing an innovative multifunctional rotary knob. Equipped with 24 different soldering tips, the soldering station is the ideal companion for a wide range of applications.
„Compared to its predecessor, the Hakko FX-888DX is characterized by a higher heat output of 100 watts. The soldering station is easy to operate and is not only suitable for hobby use, but also for areas such as education, research and development facilities and production,“ emphasizes Simon Spettmann, product manager for Hakko at Technisches Büro Kullik GmbH.
The soldering station is controlled exclusively via a digital multifunction rotary knob. The desired soldering temperature can be set by simply turning and pressing the multifunctional rotary knob, with the selected heat level clearly shown on the digital display of the soldering station. The rotary knob also allows temperatures to be saved.
The soldering station is supplied as standard with a 65-watt soldering iron and soldering tips from the T18 series, which are already used in the predecessor model. Thanks to their excellent thermal conductivity, efficient soldering is possible at lower temperatures. The increased power consumption of the FX-888DX also allows it to be operated with the new 95 watt soldering iron as an option. In combination with the extra high-mass soldering tips from the Hakko T-19 series, the soldering station is therefore a versatile all-rounder for manual soldering tasks.
As the Hakko FX-888DX enables faster heating, work efficiency can also be increased by up to 15%. The new soldering station therefore surpasses the options offered by its predecessor model, which has already proven itself in every conceivable application in recent years. The Hakko FX-888DX will be available from May 1, 2024 throughout Europe and accordingly also in Germany in the three colors blue, titanium silver and sun yellow.
