HAKKO revolutionizes the market with the new FX-973 3-port soldering station and once again proves its position as global market leader.
How does a technology leader stay at the top? Through continuous innovation! With the new FX-973 3-port soldering station, HAKKO impressively demonstrates why the company is a world leader in the field of soldering and desoldering technology. With this pioneering new development, HAKKO is once again setting standards in the industry and underlining its claim to actively shape the future of soldering technology.
What makes the HAKKO FX-973 the next generation solution
The FX-973, a successor to the proven FM 206, sets new standards in terms of versatility and performance. With its three independent connections, it offers significantly enhanced functionality compared to previous models.
The versatility of the FX-973 is particularly evident in its compatibility with the extensive range of HAKKO accessories. Various soldering tip types such as T39, T50, T51, T52, T53 and N61 can be used with the station without any problems. This means that the soldering station can be optimally adapted to a wide range of tasks - from delicate precision soldering to more demanding applications.
The compact soldering station has intuitive operation with four buttons and is equipped with a large, clear display. Data such as the set temperature, the sensor temperature of the tip and other preset parameters are displayed there. The FX-973 can be connected to a PC to log data on soldering tip temperature, temperature adjustment and soldering corrections, allowing complete traceability in real time. A built-in sensor detects when a handpiece is in use and activates the stand-by or auto-sleep function when it is unused in the tray to save energy. As the station and soldering iron holder do not need to be connected to each other, they can be freely positioned in the work area.
Compared to its predecessor, the FX-973 has more power and more application options, making it ideal for all types of repair processes.

This is due to the extensive range of suitable soldering irons, including the standard soldering iron, micro soldering iron, high-performance soldering iron, nitrogen soldering iron and various soldering tweezers with which the station is operated. This optimally supports both delicate work on sensitive components and the processing of high-mass solder joints. In addition, the soldering station is now equipped with an integrated vacuum pump and is supplied with the powerful FR-4103 desoldering gun as standard.
With the introduction of the FX-973 3-port soldering station, HAKKO underlines its position as market leader and represents not only a step forward in the development of professional soldering technology, but also surpasses the proven predecessor model FM-206 and is the further development of the FX-972, which has recently proven itself in all conceivable areas of application. The TBK/HAKKO Europe team will be presenting the new station at Productronica 2025 in Hall A4, Stand 229. Availability in the European market is planned for Q4 2025.
